Name the mascot contest!

CFDu’s,
We were recently gifted a stuffed unicorn and the two unicorn plaques you see up on the PRCity wall, and it wasn’t until I received these that I realized how much the unicorn has become part of our community here. The unofficial mascot first made an appearance on our SEXY Friday shirts last fall and has gained a lot of momentum over the last year. I feel it is time to take the ‘unofficial’ label of the unicorn, and make him or her our official mascot. The community brought on the unicorn, so we are leaving it up to the community to name it. Post all of your names to comments, we’ll take the top choices and go from there. Winning name will receive a free SEXY Friday t-shirt!

  11. Kevin says:

Somebody mentioned PReston to Tex, so I can’t take credit for the general idea, but I’d rather it be a girl’s name, so: PRiscilla

  12. Dave says:

I mostly want the theme song, but I’d be cool with Feathers, Cadillac or Tom Cruise: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L6UWR0kSFcE

I also checked out the Unicorn Name Generator. http://www.myangelcardreadings.com/unicornname.html

I put in Crossfit (First Name) Dupont (Last Name) and got: Bonita (The Pretty One).

  13. Joe says:

SWOD: 115# (same as last 5RM … can I blame a bad ankle for my lack of improvement?)

    DWOD: cleans @ 120#; 45 push-ups

  14. Arbi says:

    CFDunicorns, I suggest: Rudy.

    Lord Unicornus of PRCity

  20. Dave says:

I’m going to have to miss class tonight, so I’ll leave my last couple of suggestions with the PR theme.

PRince. PRincess (depending on the sex).

Or hell, just go with one of the pillar’s of CrossFit DuPont: PRogress.

  21. Spencer says:

    For Your Consideration…
    I humbly present this
    UNICORN NAME: Phlogeus.
Phlogeus was one of the fire-breathing steeds of Ares. What are we, if not a bunch of fire-breathers? Phlogeus offers the added bonus of meaning “Flaming, Bright as
Fire,” which, I don’t know, makes me think of our rainbow tee-shirts.
Also, Phlogeus can go by “Phlo” for short…

    SO I pressed 115 for 5, failed on 4 at 120.
    DWOD: PC @ 135
    75 hand release push ups

  22. Zach F-B says:

    SWOD: Press 5RM – 105#, 4RM – 115#
DWOD: Power Cleans – 130#, 60 hand release push ups.
Pre-class work: Muscle up to forward roll followed by another muscle up. Lots of fun, but murder on the shoulders. In retrospect not the best thing to do pre-press.

  23. KT says:

    SWOD: 70
DWOD: 51 pushups, 95 El Bees.

  24. KT says:

    Princess PRancer von Glitterpuff

    Or Jimmy Buffett

  25. Bethany says:

    Wodnita (like Juanita)

    Or maybe Wodzilla

  26. alex h. says:

Well, since Spencer busted out all the Greek mythology, I’ll also add PRometheus to the hat.

  27. Cameron says:

    Swod: 115# press

Dwod: 115# power clean, 70 pushups

Names: myrtle, Pony (pony the unicorn), Xena,

  28. Simeon says:

    SWOD: 105, 110 failed at 4
    DWOD: 48 pushups
UNICORN: Sir Maxalot or Max for short

  29. Kelly M says:

    SWOD – 60#
    DWOD – 60#; ~35ish pushups

i vote for KT’s – PRincess PRancer von Glitterpuff; unless its a male unicorn–then it would be PRince PRancer von Glitterpuff
